| The Doctor is told he was on the holodeck when there was a surge of kinoplasmic radiation (the Star Trek Encyclopaedia says "kinoplastic"). The surge disrupted his imaging system and has caused a feedback loop between the holodeck computer and the Doctor's program, eradicating the Doctor's memory circuits which explains the Doctor's headaches and hallucinations. The EMH hallucinates that he is human. The picture shows a moment when, as human, he experiences pain. |

The EMH: disguised as an alien in order to blend in during his mission on the planet surface where,
trapped there by a transporter malfunction for several years, he marries and has a son called Jason.
